Writing Journey
Inspiration

I take my inspiration from many different sources:

Characters: I've always been influenced by stories where friends bond together to achieve a common goal. As a teen, way back in the day, I always admired that close camaraderie. I grew up with the television show, Scooby Doo. As corny as it sounds, this close-knit group of friends (and their dog too) inspired me to write about main characters, supported by friends and allies. I know this clashes with the Detective Noir theme, where the 'lone wolf' private Investigator navigates a murky world of questionable morality.

Later in life, I was and am still influenced by the TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Again, the protagonist, Buffy, is surrounded by a loyal cadre of friends and an older mentor. Oddly enough, the friends refer to themselves as the 'Scooby Gang'.

I am also influenced by science fiction shows, such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Stargate SG-1 and Star Trek: SG9.

From quiet mornings to bustling city streets, Newport inspires the backdrops for my books..

What genres do you write?
Where can I buy your books?
Can I contact you for events?
Do you offer signed copies?

Online at Barnes and Nobles and Amazon. When I get a mainstream publishing presence, I'll be doing a lot of book signings. Hopefully, with greater future popularity, my books will be stocked at your favorite bookstore. For now, I'm sure you can special order it from your favorite book retailer.

Books are available through major online retailers and select independent bookstores. I am happy to sign copies.

I started with Science Fiction, but wasn't able to make any traction writing in this genre. Next, I tried modern magic and found out I had a knack for World Building. and speaking engagements. I had not originally intended to write Young Adult fiction, however, a drive from North Dartmouth, MA, back home changed everything. My first novel, A Circle of Two: Book of Newport, came to me in that drive, almost in its entirety. Recently, I tried another genre, Detective Noir with a twist; an additional element of Urban Fantasy. I am presently attempting to get this new novel, Ghost Train: The Red Herring Society, published traditionally.

Bookstores and book events can contact me, and when available I'm more than happy to oblige. Please use the 'Contact' button to let me know of your request.

My Journey
